BBQ4GOD
If you like GOD, or you like a good BBQ, you will not want to miss the 3rd semi-annual BBQ4GOD in the ROCK’n’BLUES parking lot on Sunday March 21st from 12:30 to 2:00. Come hear Dave Shepard and the Blues Riders and a guest band perform and get a FREE lunch. No donations accepted!
St. Pauls Carnival a Success!
In spite of inclement weather, (rain, tornadoes, wind and other minor annoyances) the dedicated rockers of ROCK’n’BLUES took the stage and proved that you can’t keep a good rocker down! Once again, the equipment and performers got a little wet, but thankfully no one got electrocuted! 8 of our student bands and 3 solo acts performed. It was awesome!

Haiti Benefit Concert
Haiti benefit, a great time
We had a great time at the Haiti benefit concert Friday night 2/26 at Central Christian Church. Student bands Ocean Dive and Enharmonic Reality performed as well as Makayla Winner and Dave Shepard and the Blues Riders. If you were there, go to our blog and post some comments. $360 was raised. Chik-fil-a sold food and Anthony Ketterrerr (Dave’s Step-son) presented a slide show of photos he took while in Haiti. Jaqueline and Joseph Pica performed as an acoustic duo.

Yankees at the Rock N' Blues
The Yankees came to ROCKn’n’BLUES Academy
Two pitchers from the New York Yankees filmed a TV show Friday 2/26/10 with Dave here at the ROCK’n’BLUES. AJ Burnett and Phil Hughes played guitar and drums with Dave. It was taped for a show called “Yankees On Deck” which is on the “YES” network available via Dish and Direct TV. Dave taught Phil how to play “Smoke on the Water” and AJ how to play “Sweet Home Alabama”. The pitching duo showed up in black Escalades with security and TV crew. They signed 2 baseballs, one of which was purchased at auction by Joseph Pica at the benefit concert for Haiti we participated in at Central Christian Church Friday night.
